1. Your hair needs to be clean. If it's been more than 24 hours that you've washed your hair, you may want to consider washing it.
2. When you hop out of the shower, if you still have tangles after you washed out your conditioner, very lightly (and I mean VERY lightly) spritz some detangling spray and comb out with a tooth comb. Apply a smoothing creme in your hair. Blow dry your hair as straight as possible (point your blow dry as far down as possible). Start with your bangs, and section your hair evenly.
3. Wait at least 20-30 minutes before flat ironing your hair. While waiting, brush your hair, if needed.
4. Once 20-30 minutes has passed, flat iron your hair. Section evenly and try not to burn yourself.
5. Brush your hair, if needed. Turn off your flat iron and store it away safely. Now, plug in a 1 or 2 inch curling iron and give that at least 30 seconds to heat up.
6. You still want some parts of your hair to be relatively straight. Take your curling iron and make some large waves, mostly in the back of your hair.
7. Once you've done that, brush your hair so that it looks like the picture.
8. Find a few ponytail holders (depending on how thick your hair is) and make a tight left-sided ponytail.
