For this guide, Demi's hair was straightened, then curled. It's advised that you do this when you know that you have a lot of spare time.
1. Your hair needs to be clean for this guide. If your hair was washed more than 24 hours, you might want to consider washing it. So, if you need to wash your hair, do so now by hopping in the shower. We recommend that you wash your hair twice (three times if your hair is really dirty) and to condition once. After conditioning your hair, before you wash it out, take a tooth comb and brush through any tangles that you might have, then wash your conditioner out.
2. If you washed your hair, take a tooth comb (preferably not the one you used in the shower) and spritz detangling spray in your hair. Then comb out the tangles. Get a smoothing creme and apply that in your hair. Once you've done done, blow dry your hair as close to straight as possible.
3. Wait 20-30 minutes before flat ironing your hair. Once 20-30 minutes has passed, plug in your flat iron and turn it on. Give it 30-60 seconds to heat up, and brush your hair in the meantime.
4. Once 30-60 seconds have passed, flat iron your hair in sections. Remember not to burn yourself.
5. Brush your hair if needed. With your hands, sweep your bangs to the left side of your face. Plug in your curling iron and let it heat up for 30-60 seconds.
6. For curling your hair, leave the upper part of your hair straight and as you're getting close to your ears, make relatively tight curls. As you go down, start making relatively tight waves, rather than curls. Refer to the picture if needed. For each section of your hair that you finish, apply some hairspray.
